A property tax in Chennai is the tax levied by the government on the owner of any property in Chennai for owning a residential or commercial property. It is paid to Greater Chennai Corporation.

Frequency of payment
Property tax is to be paid before April 15th for first half-yearly and before 15th October for the second half of the year, respectively.
