Ford Ranger 2015 Overview

The Ranger pickup range will appeal to customers who are looking for a basic work truck, although it can be optioned up with luxury-car equipment as well. Completely redesigned and enlarged for 2012 and sharing its platform with Mazda, the Ranger is a midsize pickup that can be had in either rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive form. The engine range includes a 2.5-litre petrol 4-cylinder with a 5-speed manual, a 2.2-litre turbodiesel 4-cylinder with a 6-speed manual or automatic and a 3.2-litre turbodiesel 5-cylinder with a 6-speed manual or automatic, though not all motors are available in all markets. Offered in single-cab and double-cab body styles, available features include manual or optional auto a/c, CD/MP 3 stereo with optional USB, optional Bluetooth, an optional rear camera with sensors, numerous storage spaces inside the cabin, and a choice of 16-inch or optional 17-inch wheels. Moving up the trim levels adds ABS, dual front and optional side-curtain airbags, 6-speaker stereo with CD changer, keyless entry, power windows, power mirrors, decals, bed liner, steel-tubing protection bars and 4x 4 with low-range gearing with optional diff lock. The top model is the Ranger WildTrak model, which is aimed at off-road enthusiasts.
